WAL030
The first soft colours of dawn appear in the sky.The sun gradually works its way up behind the mountains, when suddenly five aeroplanes fly across my perfect view bringing me back into the 21st Century. As they leave their long sunlit trails behind,it is still beautiful.
The lake is covered with a yellow swirling mist. There is magic afoot,it has woven it's unbreakable spell over me.
The sun has just started burning these mists of legends away.
Ever changing.Llyn Padarn is always the same, eternal in beauty, timeless in history.
The mountainside wakes up and looks at herself in the mirror.Fresh washed with dew,she dries off in the early morning sun, watching to see what the new day will bring.
The gentle, rythmic swish of oars takes me to another world, where thoughts and dreams float by in lazy harmony.
This is a strange mist.It spooked the cows and made them holler.Fighting to get out of the valley,it swirled first one side then the other. Then,as if by magic, it was gone.
A welsh wizard, to capture a soul, waved his wand and cast a spell with mountains, moon and morning mist. It worked.
A mellow, grey, morning mist hangs over the water. Then to enhance that special monochromatic moment, a family of swans appear and glide gracefully across my foreground.
I have yet to climb Tryfan and discover it's secret. A secret that is held by those that have, then go on to proclaim it to be their favourite mountain in all of Snowdonia.
When sky and sea become a Kaleidoscope of patterns and colour, it prints indelibly on the heart.
Stare into the water. You can see your thoughts tumbling amongst the rocks. Fast flowing, it washes them from the deep corners of your mind. All other senses are blocked.
An everchanging scene as the mist rises gently over the water. The Snowdon horse-shoe, awash with colour is awaiting the souls of man to ascend its heights.
We arrived in semi darkness and waited with anticipation. Up in the clouds was a hint of what was to come. The mist was swirling in the valley and over the lakes. Then the magic began!!
